Wondering where to eat on your little Napa getaway? We’re featuring local restaurants with the best the Valley has to offer. This week: Cook Tavern.
A quick drive or an easy twenty-minute walk, Cook Tavern is located very near our motel in St. Helena, right at 1304 Main Street.

They’re serving exciting local wines and farm-to-table American & Italian dishes in a friendly, unpretentious space.
Brunch or dinner meals range from about $13-20 per plate, with beer $4-9 and wine starting at $9. If the wine prices seem relatively steep, just go see what they’re pouring — it’s almost exclusively sourced from Napa Valley. Trust that it’s worth it.
This is hearty West Coast “tavern” food, with a keen eye on quality.

While their menu changes seasonally, we do have some recommendations!
You need to try their french fries — those should never change. They also specialize in pizza, and you really can’t go wrong with that margherita pizza. They also do some mean fish tacos and a shrimp cocktail that will make you rethink your life (in a very good way).

So make your way up Main Street — our own block (Saint Helena Highway) becomes Main Street when you head Northwest — and we‘ll see you there. There’s plenty to do later.
