While there are plenty of Napa Valley activities that’ll get you moving, sometimes you need a spa day too. Many of our guests stay at our St. Helena motel because El Bonita is an experience in its own right and reasonably priced for the area. We always recommend spending your money on the experiences you couldn’t find elsewhere. The wineries, the tours, and maybe best of all: the best spa services this side of the Mississippi.
When a glass of wine alone just isn’t going to cut it…
You need some real time to relax. Survey says, “Vacation-planning is stressful!” And we concur. You’ve planned a trip to “get away from it all” — or some similarly escapist variant — but keeping up with the itineraries and the must-see lists can be just as overwhelming as your Monday-morning email inbox.
So, how do you schedule a couple hours to yourself?
You need not take an entire day off from the rest of your trip. Maybe just a few hours, and take it slow the rest of them. Low-key, down-to-earth activities like visiting the Petrified Forest and Old Faithful complement your quality spa and massage time very nicely.
Now we’ll get into our top choices for spa services around the Napa Valley — the hot spots that travelers and locals alike swear by.
Close to home: Health Spa Napa Valley (Saint Helena)
Whether it’s a good long swim, fitness class, or any number of specialty self-care services, Health Spa has it all. They offer a wide range of luxury spa services, “including massage, skin care treatments, mud wraps, sugar scrubs, couples massage, multi-treatment packages, and more,” and they even offer private group packages to boot. This is a great option for bridal showers or bachelorette parties, and other milestone celebrations.
Economically minded: Greenhaus Day Spa (Napa)
With facials for as little as $60, you might as well create an a-la-carte experience over at Greenhaus. We’ve heard wonderful things about their manicures and pedicures, too. But the deal we’re most interested in? That 90-minute couples massage and “chocolate romantic escape.” Where do we sign up?
Surprised Kellie today with a Prenatal Massage and Lunch! Love middle of the day dates!!
Off the beaten path: The Cottage Inn & Spa (Sonoma)
Did someone say “reiki”? Oh, and reflexology too! While it’s a little out of the way, this Sonoma spa is worth the trip. The architecture alone is relaxing and cool. Top it all off with cocoa butter wraps and some aromatherapy, and we’re in business. Just take a look at their specials before you book your visit.
Do you have a recommendation? Have you visited any of these Napa Valley spas?
