Originally scheduled for mid-October this year, the St. Helena Harvest Festival will now take place on November 4th. There’s still time to plan your visit!
As area fires and air quality concerns postponed the festival, the Department of Parks & Recreation has rescheduled events for Saturday, November 4th, 2017 along Oak Avenue. This will be its 31st year! We look forward to this day every fall. This time, after all that’s happened, it’ll be wonderful to get together as a community and take part in a St. Helena tradition. Here’s what we can look forward to.
Fun Run – 8:00 a.m.
Whether you’re up for just 1K or a whole 10K, participation in this early-morning helps support the St. Helena Montessori Adolescents Program’s Odyssey Trip to Washington. If you’re not sure about running, you can register day-of starting at 7:00 a.m. The Recreation Department is also asking for donations of used or new shoes. Find more information about the run here.
Pet Parade – 9:30 a.m.
Here’s your chance to show off your pet’s best costume! All pets are invited. There is a small fee, but you can enter your pup (or otherwise!) into the costume contest. One of the awards is even for best “look-a-like” owner and pet duo, so plan your own look accordingly!
St. Helena Harvest Festival – 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
The festival itself features live music, local artists and their work, local beer- and wine-makers, St. Helena-area farmers, food vendors, and a “kids carnival.”
The St. Helena community holds a rich history, and we’re happy to honor it year-round. The Harvest Festival is just one way in which we get together to do that! We hope you’ll come to visit, and stay with us at the historic El Bonita.
